When we started setting up Camp in early May, it seemed like the arrival of campers was so far away. Today the wait was over as the first bunch of campers pushed their canoes into the Seagull River on the way to Camp. Once all the gear was hauled to cabins, we all sat down for a late dinner after a long day's journey to the end of the Gunflint Trail.
Tonight all campers are settling into their bunks, getting to know their new friends and reuniting with friends from summers past. After a much needed night of sleep, everyone will go through a morning edition of Gunflint School. Here campers will practice and refresh their camping skills such as pitching a tent, starting and putting out fires, bear-bag ropes, water-filters, campsite etiquette and more.
We will keep you updated here on the blog as much as possible, but don't forget to check out the picture page for more day-to-day photos: Click here for Camp's Photo Page
