With a full afternoon of canoe and paddle practice, all campers are eager to hit the river again tomorrow for their first adventure into the Boundary Waters. While the majority of campers were learning and refreshing their paddle skills, our oldest campers, the Senior Leaders, pushed off the dock for a three-day, two-night adventure around the famous Alpine Loop.
The seniors are carrying a SPOT device for you to follow along as they complete the loop. To see where the group is currently traveling, click on their picture and you will be directed to a map of their current and recent location.
The track and share feature of the SPOT are added bonuses for all of us to follow the adventure. If for some reason the groups' SPOTs are not tracking, please don't worry. The devices are designed for safety in the wilderness and will turn off this feature if battery power is needed to allow for a possible emergency situation.
Stay tuned for tomorrow's SPOT links as the rest of the campers will be heading out for their first adventure with their cabin groups. We will post a picture of each group and you will be able to click on your camper(s)' photo to follow their route(s). Please note that when groups are out on the trail we will not be posting pictures to the photo page.
