I don't think the saying goes quite like that, but it was what happened this morning at Camp. A chilly wake up lead to t-shirts and shorts as all campers pushed from the camp dock this morning. Most of the groups were heading into Seagull Lake or Lake Saganaga for their two-night cabin trip. The groups will likely cross paths on their way around the loop somewhere in Alpine or Red Rocks lakes. Follow their journey below.

If your camper just arrived to Camp on Sunday I would like to introduce you to the DeLorme InReach device. The DeLorme is an emergency response device that some of our groups carry when they can not contact Camp any other way. One bounus feature the devices have is the ability to show the groups' locations as they travel throughout the wilderness. If your camper's group has a DeLorme, you will be able to click on their photo. You will then be redirected to a map page with the current location of all the Camp Birchwood trips currently in the wilderness.
Once you see the map, look for the name of your camper's group and the arrow next to the name. This is your camper's current location. You may have to zoom in on the upper left side of the map in order to see the names of the groups. Next to each group's arrow will be a (+). Click on the symbol and the group's track from when they left Camp will display. If you see your camper's photo and cannot click on it, this is because they did not take a DeLorme device on this trip, but do have access to cell phone service or have a motorboat on their trip.
