This evening we got a whole new group of campers, our last session of the summer. These guys journeyed up the North Shore of Lake Superior and then up the Gunflint Trail to be greeted by the Barracuda at the landing. They then paddled down the river to Camp. They arrived to a delicious dinner of pasta and chicken parmesan followed by chocolate cake. Tomorrow we will learn (or remind ourselves of) some wilderness skills in Gunflint School before heading out on cabin trips on Wednesday. It is exciting to have a new group here but a little surreal that it is already the last session of the summer.
It was another beautiful day up at the end of the trail, and for our campers that were already here that meant another great day of activities. The waterfront was, as always greatly appreciated and a lot of guys got their awards at the ranges, which is a fantastic achievement.
