Today everyone headed out into the wild for their first trip of the session. They will all be spending the night with their cabin groups, getting to know each other and practicing their wilderness skills. It will be a good experience and I think that they will all catch the bug and start to get excited for next weeks longer trips. Shang Cabin are traveling North to Lake Saganaga to set up camp; Raven and Far and Away (F+A) Cabins are heading south to Seagull Lake; and Avant Cabin are going to drive back to the beginning of the Gunflint Trail and hike to the highest point in Minnesota, Eagle Mountain.
Here at Camp we use GPS tracking devices (operated by Garmin), the help keep us safe when we are on the trail. They also allow us to follow their route and share it with family and friends. It is an awesome feature and I have included a link to their map on each picture. Once you've found your campers cabin, click on their picture and follow their trip.
